Adams County, IL (August 4, 2026) – Five people were injured and transported to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash on Sunday afternoon, August 2, on Highway 336 near Baseline Road, close to the Adams County Fairgrounds.
The collision was reported at approximately 3:02 p.m., prompting emergency units to respond to the area. According to preliminary reports, a vehicle crossed the median before the crash occurred. Passengers from one vehicle were taken to Blessing Hospital, while occupants of the other vehicle were transported to another hospital for treatment.
Officials have not released further details about the extent of their injuries. Northbound Highway 336 was closed from Highway 24 to North 1925th for several hours while crews responded and the scene was cleared. Drivers traveling to the Adams County Fair were advised to use an alternate route during the closure.
