Barrington Hills, IL (June 3, 2026) – One person was injured on Tuesday afternoon after a forklift fell from a truck and landed on a vehicle near the intersection of Dundee Road and Bateman Road in Barrington Hills.
The accident was reported at approximately 4:12 p.m. Emergency units were dispatched to the intersection following reports of a single-vehicle collision.
Upon arrival, crews discovered that a forklift had come off a truck and struck a vehicle. One occupant became trapped inside and required extrication. The person was freed in about 10 minutes and taken to a nearby hospital.
The extent of the person’s injuries was not immediately known. No additional information regarding the people involved had been released as of publication.
