Why Rear-End Motorcycle Crashes Can Be Severe
Rear-end crashes involving motorcycles can cause major injuries because riders have little protection from impact. Even when traffic is slowing, the force from a larger vehicle can throw a rider from the motorcycle or cause serious trauma.
Busy parkway intersections can involve changing speeds, turning traffic, and sudden slowdowns. These conditions can give drivers and riders less time to react when traffic begins to stack up.
After a critical motorcycle crash, medical teams often check for head injuries, chest trauma, broken bones, and internal injuries. Trauma alert transport may be used when fast access to advanced hospital care is needed.
