Carroll County, KY (July 29, 2026) – Four people were taken to hospitals after a multi-vehicle accident on southbound I-71 in Carroll County on Monday, July 27. The crash was reported near mile marker 47 at approximately 4:22 p.m.
According to officials, two people were airlifted to Louisville hospitals, one person was taken by vehicle to Norton Children’s Hospital, and another person was transported to a nearby hospital. No fatalities were confirmed following the collision.
The vehicles involved in the wreck were not identified in the initial reports. One southbound I-71 lane remained open while crews worked in the area, and officials said the roadway was expected to reopen later.
