Jefferson Township, OH (May 31, 2026) – Officials said at least four people, including two adults and two children, were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment on Saturday afternoon, May 30, following a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Montgomery County.
Montgomery County Regional Dispatch said the collision happened around 1 p.m. at the intersection of Dayton-Farmersville Road and Germantown Pike in Jefferson Township. Emergency crews responded after receiving reports of a serious crash involving two vehicles.

We are thinking of those injured.
Why Intersection Crashes With Airbag Deployment Often Indicate Serious Force
When airbags deploy in a collision, it typically signals a significant level of force between the vehicles. Intersections are common locations for these types of crashes because multiple traffic streams cross paths at different angles.
Even when speeds are moderate, side-impact or angle collisions can produce strong forces that affect all occupants inside the vehicles. Investigators often review signal timing, stop compliance, and sightlines to understand how both vehicles entered the intersection at the same time. Injuries can occur across all seating positions, especially when children are involved, and restrained systems are activated during impact.
