Fresno, CA (January 21, 2026) – Three individuals were hospitalized on Tuesday evening following a two-vehicle accident caused by a red light violation at a busy intersection in east central Fresno.
The incident occurred just before 7:30 p.m. on January 20 at the junction of McKinley Ave, Peach Ave, and Clinton Way. According to reports from local authorities, a vehicle traveling eastbound on McKinley Ave entered the intersection against a red light and struck a pickup truck that was making a lawful turn at the corner.
Responding units from Fresno Fire and Rescue arrived quickly to assist the individuals involved. All three, both drivers and a passenger, were transported to a nearby hospital with what were described as minor injuries.
Traffic in the area was temporarily affected as police and emergency crews worked to clear the scene and conduct interviews with those involved. No major delays were reported.
Initial findings indicate that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the red light violation and any other contributing elements.
