Gaithersburg, MD (January 24, 2026) – Emergency responders were dispatched on January 23 to a personal injury collision near West Diamond Ave, underneath the I-270 overpass in Gaithersburg. The crash involved at least one vehicle and led to a paramedic response from Engine 70.

According to dispatch communications, the vehicle reportedly lost control in the area beneath the bridge. Paramedics arrived to evaluate the occupants and administer medical care at the scene. The number of people injured and the severity of injuries have not yet been confirmed.

Traffic through the underpass was temporarily affected as fire and EMS crews worked to secure the crash site and assist those involved. Drivers in the area were urged to use caution due to emergency activity.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash and have not yet released further details.
