What Can Happen in Multi-Vehicle Head-on Crashes
Head-on crashes involving multiple vehicles can be complex and result in a range of outcomes. When several vehicles are involved, the sequence of impacts can vary, making it harder to determine how the crash began.
These crashes often occur when a vehicle crosses into oncoming traffic, potentially involving additional cars. The force of impact may be greater when vehicles are traveling in opposite directions.
In such situations, emergency crews may evaluate everyone involved, even if injuries are not immediately clear. This helps ensure that any hidden or delayed symptoms are identified early.
