Augusta, KS (August 18, 2026) – A girl was critically injured on Monday, August 17, after she was struck by a vehicle in Augusta, Kansas.
According to Augusta Crime Stoppers, the crash happened shortly after 7 p.m. in the 1000 block of Campbell Street. The girl was taken to a hospital for treatment after suffering critical injuries.
The driver involved in the crash left the scene. Investigators said debris found in the roadway indicated the suspect vehicle may be a 2005-2009 Pontiac G6, although its color was not known. Police later arrested a suspect connected with the hit-and-run crash.
