Glen Burnie, MD (May 11, 2026) – A woman died after a multi-vehicle crash involving a Maryland Transit Authority bus in Glen Burnie. The collision happened on Sunday, May 11, around 1:15 a.m. near Dorsey Road and Telegraph Road in Anne Arundel County.
Investigators said the crash involved a Chevrolet Camaro, a Ford Explorer, a Mazda CX-30, and the bus. The Camaro was driven by 22-year-old Corbin Congedo, who was traveling west on Dorsey Road when the vehicle struck the Mazda, according to the report.
The impact pushed the Camaro into the intersection, where it then hit the Ford Explorer and the bus. Both were turning onto Telegraph Road from eastbound Dorsey Road.
A passenger in the Explorer, 33-year-old Yolanda Hardy of Upper Marlboro, died at the scene. The Explorer driver, identified only as a 38-year-old man, was taken to a hospital with injuries. Congedo was also hospitalized.
The crash remains under investigation. Additional details may become available as authorities continue their review. Our condolences go out to Hardy’s loved ones.
What Can Make Multi-Vehicle Intersection Crashes So Severe?
Multi-vehicle intersection crashes can be especially serious because several traffic movements may happen at once. Vehicles may be traveling straight, turning, or slowing for signals. When one impact pushes a vehicle into another lane, a crash can quickly involve more people.
Large vehicles, including buses, can add force and space concerns at the scene. Smaller vehicles may suffer heavy damage when hit at an angle or pushed into traffic.
Early morning crashes may also involve reduced visibility and lighter traffic patterns. These factors can affect reaction time and the ability of drivers to avoid a second impact after the first collision occurs.
