Green Sea, SC (January 12, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision on Sunday afternoon led to traffic disruptions and injuries after one of the vehicles overturned on W Highway 9 Bypass near N Green Sea Rd, according to Horry County Fire Rescue.

The crash occurred around 4:29 p.m., prompting an emergency response from HCFR units. One person sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Another individual involved in the incident declined transport after signing a medical waiver.

Officials confirmed that one of the vehicles overturned upon impact, blocking multiple lanes and causing delays through the Green Sea area. Motorists were advised to avoid the scene while emergency crews and law enforcement worked to manage the situation and investigate the crash.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into what caused the collision.
