Hampton, VA (January 25, 2026) – Emergency crews responded late on Friday night to a traffic crash with injuries on Interstate 64 westbound near exit 272 in Hampton.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:25 p.m., prompting the dispatch of multiple emergency units, including battalion chiefs, engine companies, ladder trucks, medics, and rescue teams. Upon arrival, crews worked quickly to assess the scene and provide medical attention to those injured in the crash.
At least one individual sustained injuries requiring treatment, though officials have not yet confirmed the total number of people involved or the extent of the injuries. Traffic was impacted as responders secured the area and managed cleanup and investigation efforts.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision. Contributing factors such as vehicle speed, driver behavior, or road conditions are being reviewed.
