Miami-Dade County, FL (July 4, 2026) – The police responded to an accident scene where two people were injured in a head-on crash involving an SUV and a pickup truck in west Miami-Dade on Thursday, July 2.
Emergency units responded to the intersection of Southwest 8th Street and Southwest 157th Avenue after reports of a serious collision. Officials reported that the crash involved a pickup truck and an SUV. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews arrived to find one person trapped inside a vehicle, requiring extrication.
Two people were transported by ground to HCA Florida Kendall Hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not been released. The roadway was closed for several hours while emergency crews worked at the scene and investigators documented the crash. All lanes have since reopened.
