Norwood, MO (July 14, 2026) – Two people were injured in a head-on collision on Sunday afternoon on Route C, approximately two miles south of Norwood in Wright County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 4:40 p.m. on July 12 when a northbound 2020 Nissan Armada attempted to pass another vehicle and collided with an oncoming southbound 2007 Chevrolet HHR.
The driver of the HHR, a 44-year-old woman from Norwood, sustained moderate injuries. She was transported by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
The driver of the Nissan, a 52-year-old man from Macomb, suffered minor injuries, so he sought his own medical attention following the crash.
Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the investigation was assisted by the Norwood Fire Department and the Wright County Sheriff’s Department.
