Isabella County, MI (July 14, 2026) – Two drivers lost their lives in a fatal head-on crash early on Sunday morning on northbound US-127 near East Vernon Road in Isabella County.
The collision was reported at approximately 3:05 a.m. on July 12 when a Toyota 4Runner, driven by a 24-year-old man from Ridgway, South Carolina, traveled southbound in the northbound lanes of US-127. The SUV collided head-on with a Kia Stinger driven by a 22-year-old man from Moss Point, Mississippi.
Both drivers suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. Northbound US-127 remained closed for several hours while emergency units worked at the scene before the highway reopened.
