Orangeburg, SC (August 19, 2026) – A fatal head-on collision occurred on Monday, August 17, on Cordova Road in Orangeburg County, leaving two people dead. The victims were identified as 23-year-old Ahmad Islar of Cope and 21-year-old Shariah Bradley of Sumter.
According to the coroner, both victims suffered blunt force injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. Islar was driving a 2017 Honda, with Bradley as a passenger, when the vehicle collided with another Honda. Police said the 2017 Honda was traveling west when it attempted to pass another vehicle. It then struck a 2018 Honda head-on.
The driver of the other Honda was taken to a hospital for treatment. Our sincere condolences go out to the families and loved ones of Ahmad Islar and Shariah Bradley.
