What Makes Car and Scooter Crashes So Severe?
Scooters offer little protection compared to passenger vehicles. In a collision, riders are more exposed to direct impact with the roadway.
Nighttime conditions can also affect visibility. Drivers and scooter riders may have less time to see and react to each other, especially at busy intersections.
Because scooters are smaller and lighter, the force from a crash with a car can cause serious harm. Protective gear and careful attention from all road users can help reduce the risk of severe injuries in these types of incidents.
