Nashville, TN (July 7, 2026) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by two vehicles on Monday morning, July 6, in the 4000 block of Nolensville Pike near Harding Pl. The incident prompted a response from emergency units.
According to official statements, the crash occurred shortly after midnight. Police said Powell, 68, was crossing Nolensville Pike when he was struck by a black pickup truck, causing him to enter another lane where he was hit by a white sedan.
Both vehicles left the scene after the collision. Powell was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and later died. Investigators later recovered a Dodge Ram pickup believed to be involved in the crash at an apartment complex on Edmonson Pike.
