The incident was reported around 10:31 p.m. after a caller said a friend’s vehicle had been struck near El Segundo Boulevard and Cook Street. The caller reportedly followed the suspected vehicle and said the driver was stopped in a white pickup truck at San Pedro Street and 130th Street.
The injured person reportedly suffered a cut to the eye. Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to the scene, and the involved vehicle was later placed in tow. The California Highway Patrol incident log classified the crash as a hit-and-run with injuries.
