It happened around 2:24 p.m. York Township is a suburban community just south of the city of York.
The woman was reported conscious at the scene, and emergency crews responded to evaluate and treat her. The driver who struck her vehicle left before crews arrived, and no description of that vehicle was included in the initial report. The search for the driver remains ongoing.
