Nashville, TN (July 28, 2026) – A morning hit-and-run accident left a pedestrian seriously injured on the 90 block of Wallace Road near Interstate 24 in South Nashville on Monday, July 27. The crash happened around 3:00 a.m.
Police said a small light-colored SUV was traveling westbound when it left the roadway, drove onto the sidewalk, and struck a pedestrian. Emergency units responded and took the injured pedestrian to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.
The roadway was temporarily closed while investigators processed the scene before reopening. Detectives are working to identify the driver involved in the crash. We wish the pedestrian a full recovery.
