Florence County, SC (September 9, 2026) – A pedestrian died after being struck by an unknown vehicle early Tuesday morning, September 8, on E Old Marion Hwy. The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the pedestrian was near the edge of the road when the vehicle approached.
The incident occurred around 2:20 a.m., near the intersection with N Price Rd. The vehicle was traveling west on E Old Marion Hwy when it struck the person before leaving the area, according to the report.
The driver and vehicle involved had not been identified in the initial report. The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
