Berkley, MI (September 9, 2026) – One person was killed, and another was critically injured after a vehicle crashed into a tree and caught fire on Monday night, September 7, in Berkley.
The crash happened after 10 p.m. near Henley Avenue and Edgewood Boulevard. According to police, a 2021 Chevrolet Blazer struck a tree and caught fire. When officers arrived, flames were visible inside the vehicle.
The passenger died from injuries sustained in the crash, while the driver was hospitalized in critical condition. The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
