Los Angeles, CA (August 28, 2026) – A person was injured in a hit-and-run crash on Wednesday, August 26, on northbound Interstate 5 near State Route 118 in Los Angeles.
According to the California Highway Patrol incident log, the crash involved a semi-truck and a black Mercedes C300. The Mercedes was also reported to have collided with a guardrail, with debris found beneath the vehicle. All vehicles were initially reported to be in the gore point.
CHP later upgraded the incident from a collision without injuries to a hit-and-run with injuries. Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were requested after a person was reported to have injuries to the chest and back. The circumstances of the crash and the identity of the vehicle that left the scene were not immediately available.
