Why Intersections Are High-Risk Areas for Moped Riders
Intersections are among the most common locations for crashes involving mopeds and other smaller vehicles. With multiple directions of traffic, turning vehicles, and changing signals, these areas require heightened awareness from both drivers and riders.
Moped riders are particularly vulnerable due to their smaller size and lower visibility compared to standard vehicles. Even a minor lapse in attention from nearby drivers can result in serious collisions.
Staying alert, obeying traffic signals, and maintaining clear visibility are essential safety practices. Both drivers and riders share responsibility for reducing risks and preventing accidents at busy intersections.
