North Port, FL (June 22, 2026) – One person was taken for medical care on Sunday afternoon, June 21, after a house fire on Koltenborn Road in North Port. The fire was reported at 1572 Koltenborn Road and was declared under control at about 5 p.m.
Initial reports said one person was pulled from the home. That person was later taken to a hospital because of the fire, though the extent of harm was not confirmed.
Two people also needed emergency shelter after the home fire. The report also noted that help may have been needed to check on animals at the property, including chickens. The cause of the fire remains under review as more details are gathered.
