Houston, TX (January 12, 2026) – A traffic collision involving multiple vehicles resulted in injuries Sunday evening on the interchange between I-610 West and TX-225 East, a busy stretch of freeway southeast of downtown Houston.

The incident occurred around 6:13 p.m. and led to an immediate response from emergency medical services, Houston Fire Department personnel, and law enforcement agencies. Drivers traveling through the interchange reported significant delays as crews worked to access and stabilize the scene.

Those injured in the crash were assessed by paramedics, with several individuals receiving treatment at the location. Others were transported to nearby medical facilities for further evaluation. The total number of people hurt and the severity of their injuries, have not yet been confirmed by authorities.

Officials are actively investigating the cause of the crash.
