Houston, TX (January 12, 2026) – A hit-and-run collision early Monday morning at the intersection of Emancipation Ave and Rosewood St left at least one person injured and sparked an active search for the driver who fled the scene.
The crash occurred around 2:41 a.m. in Houston’s Third Ward neighborhood. Initial reports indicate that one vehicle struck another at the intersection before the driver responsible fled without stopping to render aid or provide information.
Emergency medical personnel responded quickly and tended to the injured victim at the scene. At least one person was transported to a nearby medical facility for further evaluation and care. Their condition has not yet been disclosed.
Houston Police Department officers arrived shortly after and launched an investigation into the incident.
Traffic was minimally impacted due to the early hour, and the scene was cleared shortly after responders concluded their work.
