Huntsville, AL (January 24, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a bus-involved accident with injuries at the intersection of Tryon Dr and Holmes Ave on January 24, where a female pedestrian was reportedly struck and injured.
The incident occurred on the bridge along Holmes Ave, where the bus became disabled and was unable to move from the roadway. Responders quickly arrived at the scene to treat the injured woman, whose condition has not yet been made public. The severity of her injuries remains under evaluation.
As a result of the collision and blocked roadway, nearly 20 additional vehicles became stuck at the scene. Huntsville Public Works was notified, with an estimated 45-minute response time to assist in clearing the affected area and managing traffic congestion.
