Indianapolis, IN (January 10, 2026) – A personal injury accident disrupted traffic in downtown Indianapolis early Friday morning following a collision at the intersection of E New York St and N New Jersey St, prompting emergency response and road closures in multiple directions.
The crash was reported at approximately 5:51 a.m. when downtown units, including Edward 125, were dispatched to the scene. Initial communication indicated that traffic control assistance was needed due to blocked lanes on both eastbound New York St and northbound New Jersey St. Responding officers worked to secure the area and assist with rerouting traffic.
