Indianapolis, IN (January 20, 2026) – Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run crash with reported injuries that occurred on January 19 near the intersection of E 82nd St and Allisonville Rd in the northbound lanes. Emergency responders were dispatched to the area late in the evening following reports of a collision involving a U-Haul vehicle.
According to dispatch communications, a black or brown U-Haul truck was involved in the incident. The second vehicle fled the scene before authorities arrived. Not long after, officers tracked the suspect vehicle to a nearby business complex on Allison Point Blvd, where they located the driver, who was reportedly inside and possibly intoxicated.
Injuries were initially reported by witnesses, although the full extent of those injuries has not yet been confirmed by medics on scene. Emergency medical units, including Medic 17, responded to assess individuals potentially involved in the crash.
