Merced, CA (July 19, 2026) – A head-on collision involving two vehicles was reported on July 17 at the intersection of Santa Fe Dr and Lombardy Ave in Merced.
Initial dispatch information indicates the two vehicles, described as a blue Lexus and a black sedan, collided head-on shortly before 3:50 p.m. Emergency units were requested to the roadway after a transferred 911 call reportedly left an open line where someone could be heard moaning. Additional assistance was requested, and tow services were later dispatched for both vehicles.
The vehicles were reported on the right-hand side of the road following the collision. Dispatch records did not confirm how many people were involved or provide details regarding the extent of any injuries.
