Bakersfield, CA (July 21, 2026) – A person was hurt in a hit-and-run along northbound State Route 99 just north of the State Route 58 interchange in Bakersfield on July 20.
According to CHP reports, the reporting party told emergency units that another vehicle had struck them before leaving the roadway without stopping. The call was received at about 2:39 p.m., and crews later arrived to meet with the person involved near the northbound lanes just north of the SR58 junction.
