Livermore, CA (August 25, 2026) – Three vehicles were involved in a major accident on eastbound I-580 near First St on August 24. The collision was reported around 3:16 p.m. near the First St on-ramp.
The vehicles included a dark blue pickup truck and two other vehicles. Initial information indicated that the vehicles came to rest on the right shoulder. Early reports were unclear about injuries, but later information confirmed that at least one person was hurt.
Emergency units were requested, and a fire unit was reported to be blocking the slow lane while crews worked in the area. By about 4:17 p.m., all lanes had reopened. One vehicle, identified as a Chevrolet pickup, was later entered into a service status, with a tow company requested. The circumstances that led to the collision had not been publicly confirmed.
