Moniteau County, MO (July 23, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision along westbound US 50 at Claas Crossing Rd left one woman hurt.
The collision happened at about 4:12 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, in Moniteau County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 16-year-old boy driving a 2009 Chevrolet Colorado was traveling northbound when he failed to yield while making a left turn into the path of a westbound 2018 Toyota Camry.
The Toyota, driven by a 20-year-old woman from Tipton, struck the Chevrolet. The Camry was totaled and removed from the roadway by a towing service, while the pickup sustained extensive damage and was secured at the roadside.
The Camry driver was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital by ambulance with moderate injuries. The teenage driver of the Chevrolet was reported to have been wearing a safety device, and no injuries for him were listed in the initial report. No additional information about the people involved has been released. The cause of the collision remains under review as investigators continue gathering information.
