Sacramento, CA (September 9, 2026) – Injuries were reported after a hit-and-run collision on eastbound Folsom Blvd near Manlove Rd.

The California Highway Patrol initially classified the incident as a no-injury traffic collision before changing it to a hit-and-run involving injuries. The collision began as a single-vehicle crash involving a vehicle and a pole.

According to the CAD report, another vehicle T-boned the initial vehicle, pushing it into the pole before leaving the area. A black Nissan and a black Honda sedan were later reported as possible vehicles involved, along with other vehicles.

The initial vehicle was near railroad tracks and began smoking. A relative of someone involved arrived to help, and emergency assistance was requested. The circumstances surrounding the hit-and-run remain under investigation.

We hope those who were hurt recover fully.

What Should Drivers Do After a Hit-and-Run?

Drivers involved in a hit-and-run accident should prioritize safety and avoid pursuing the fleeing motorist. If possible, witnesses can record the vehicle’s make, model, color, license plate, and direction of travel without placing themselves at risk. Photographs of vehicle damage, roadway conditions, debris, and nearby signs may preserve useful information. Witnesses should provide investigators with everything they remember.

Anyone who is hurt should seek medical evaluation, even if symptoms seem minor at first. Drivers should also remain alert for hazards such as damaged vehicles, smoke, leaking fluids, or debris. Promptly documenting what happened can help establish the sequence of events and provide investigators with information about the vehicle that left the area.

1Seek treatment promptly after being injured in an accident. Your first priority should always be your health. Many providers offer treatment on a lien basis, meaning you can get the care you need now and pay later when your claim is resolved.
2Before speaking with an insurance company, make sure you have the facts. An official police report is the most reliable record of what happened and can help establish liability An experienced attorney can assist you in obtaining this report and using it to protect your interests.
3Consider having your case reviewed by a qualified attorney who can guide you through the next steps. They will safeguard your rights and pursue the compensation you deserve.
