Tucson, AZ (August 21, 2026) – A multiple-vehicle collision shut down the westbound I-10 near Valencia Rd for several hours on Wednesday, August 19. The accident was reported around 3 p.m., with portions of the interstate remaining closed until about 6 p.m.
A 13 News photographer at the site saw at least one semitruck with its cab ripped off. The Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed that people were injured, but the severity of those injuries was not immediately known.
The initial report did not include details about the people hurt. The circumstances surrounding the wreck remain under review. We hope those injured receive appropriate medical care and recover fully.
