Miami-Dade County, FL (August 4, 2026) – A vehicle accident with reported injuries closed the northbound lanes of the Don Shula Expressway (SR 874) on Tuesday morning near Killian Parkway (SW 104th Street). The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash caused significant traffic delays in the area.
The extent of the injuries and the number of people involved were not immediately released. Video from the roadway showed vehicles using the shoulder to pass while crews cleared debris from the highway.
Drivers were encouraged to use Dixie Highway or Florida’s Turnpike as alternate routes while the roadway remained closed. The circumstances surrounding the collision are still being examined, and additional information may be released as it becomes available.
