Commerce, CA (August 2, 2026) – A traffic collision involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck was reported on July 31 at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Morrill Avenue in Commerce. Initial dispatch information indicates the driver of a silver 2006 Hyundai told dispatchers that the vehicle had been rear-ended by the big rig.
The Hyundai was left disabled after the collision and blocked traffic lanes, prompting emergency units to assist at the intersection. Responding paramedics assessed the involved parties for injuries. A tow truck was later requested, and the damaged Hyundai was impounded from the roadway.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation as additional details are gathered.
