Yolo County, CA (August 2, 2026) – A two-vehicle traffic accident with minor injuries was reported on July 31 on State Route 16 at County Road 96 in Yolo County.
According to CHP dispatch information, the crash involved a white Nissan sedan and a Toyota sedan. Both eastbound and westbound lanes were initially affected while emergency units worked on the roadway. The report was later updated to indicate the collision resulted in minor injuries.
Tow truck services were requested for the damaged vehicles. Dispatch records also noted that a Waste Management vehicle leaked hydraulic fluid into the dirt shoulder and nearby grass, prompting a hazardous materials request. Around 30 gallons of fluid were reportedly spilled, and cleanup crews began addressing the contamination while traffic control remained in place.
