Prunedale, CA (August 6, 2026) – A head-on traffic crash that resulted in injuries was reported on August 6 on Crazy Horse Canyon Road near Pond Derosa Lane in Prunedale. According to dispatch information, the collision occurred at about 5:21 p.m. and involved a white GMC pickup truck and a brown Hyundai Elantra.
One of the vehicles came to rest blocking the southbound lane, causing temporary traffic disruptions while emergency units worked in the area. The Hyundai Elantra sustained major front-end damage and was towed from the roadway. By about 5:51 p.m., all lanes had been reopened to traffic. No identities or additional information about those hurt were immediately released. The cause of the crash remains under investigation as more information becomes available.
