Los Angeles, CA (July 30, 2026) – At least one person was hurt in a hit-and-run involving a sedan and a fuel tanker early in the morning of July 29 on northbound I-5 just south of Terra Bella Street in Los Angeles.
According to dispatch information, the call came in shortly before 4:25 a.m. Initial reports indicated a silver Infiniti sedan and a semi-truck hauling fuel were involved. The sedan came to rest blocking the HOV lane, while the tanker stopped on the right shoulder.
Emergency units worked to manage the roadway while traffic was temporarily stopped to remove debris. Tow truck services were requested, and both vehicles were eventually moved out of the travel lanes. By approximately 4:34 a.m., all lanes had reopened to traffic.
The dispatch log classified the case as a hit-and-run with injuries. The cause of the crash remains under review as additional information becomes available.
