Calipatria, CA (August 2, 2026) – A hit-and-run involving injuries was reported on July 31 on State Route 111 near West Groshen Road in the Calipatria area. Initial dispatch information indicated that multiple vehicles may have been involved, but a witness later clarified that only two vehicles were involved in the crash.
According to dispatch logs, the driver believed to have caused the wreck left the roadway before emergency units arrived. The fleeing vehicle was described as a white four-door sedan of unknown make and model, last seen traveling northbound on SR-111. Medical assistance and a tow truck were requested, and one Nissan sedan was reported to have a damaged left-rear tire.
