Napa, CA (July 8, 2026) – At least one person was hurt in a hit-and-run along Wooden Valley Rd near SR-121 on July 26, prompting a large emergency response and temporary road closures.

According to dispatch records, the crash was reported at about 11:33 a.m. near the westbound portion of Wooden Valley Road, just east of State Route 121. Early information indicated that two motorcycles and their riders were on the right-hand shoulder following the collision. The driver involved in the hit-and-run reportedly left before emergency personnel arrived.

Emergency units remained at the roadway for an extended period while crews coordinated traffic control on both the Napa and Solano County sides of the roadway. A medical helicopter was requested and later transported one patient to a hospital in Fairfield. Tow trucks were also requested to remove four sport motorcycles from the area, and a hard closure was established near Wooden Valley Cross Rd while the roadway was cleared.

The cause of the hit-and-run remains under investigation as additional details become available.

We extend our best wishes to the injured person and hope for a full recovery.

Why Medical Evaluation Is Important After a Motorcycle Hit-and-Run

Motorcycle crashes usually leave riders with injuries that may not be immediately obvious. Even when a person can stand or speak after a collision, hidden trauma such as internal bleeding, concussions, or spinal injuries can take time to appear. Prompt medical evaluation allows healthcare providers to identify these problems before they become more serious.

Hit-and-run cases can also require careful documentation because the driver responsible may not be immediately identified. Medical records, photographs of vehicle damage, witness statements, and roadway evidence may all help establish what happened. As more information becomes available, these records can provide a clearer picture of the circumstances surrounding the collision and the extent of any injuries sustained.
