Allentown, PA (June 15, 2026) – A multi-vehicle crash involving a minivan that caught fire was reported in the South Whitehall section of Allentown on Monday, June 14.
According to initial reports, the wreck happened near the intersection of Mauch Chunk Rd and Route 22. Emergency units were called to the roadway after flames were seen coming from the engine compartment of a minivan involved in the pileup.
Drivers were urged to avoid the roadway and use alternate routes while crews worked to clear the roadway and assist the people involved. A second crash was also reported near Mauch Chunk Rd and Pirma shortly after the first call.
