Jacksonville, FL (March 16, 2026) – A man died after a crash late on Saturday night, March 14, at the intersection of New Kings Road and Soutel Drive on Jacksonville’s Northside.
Emergency units were called to the intersection around 9:48 p.m. following reports of a two-vehicle collision. Investigators say a Honda CR-V driven by a 16-year-old boy was traveling north on New Kings Road when the crash occurred.
At the same time, a man in his late 40s was driving a Chevrolet Colorado east along Soutel Drive. The two vehicles collided in the intersection, leaving both vehicles heavily damaged. The driver of the Chevrolet was taken to a nearby hospital after the crash. He later died from his injuries shortly after arriving at the facility. Officials reported that the teen driving the Honda was not hurt. He remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators as they reviewed the incident.
