Jefferson Co, MO (January 18, 2026) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on Friday evening on US-61 near Montebello Rd in Jefferson County.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:25 p.m. on January 16, as detailed by Trooper A. C. Moran of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. According to investigators, a 2025 Honda Civic heading southbound attempted to turn left onto Montebello Rd when it collided with a northbound 2018 Infiniti Q50. The impact severely damaged both vehicles, which were later towed by Ive’s Towing.
A 69-year-old man from Imperial, who was driving the Honda Civic, and a 39-year-old woman passenger in the same vehicle, both sustained injuries. Rock Township Ambulance District transported both victims to Mercy Hospital South for medical treatment. Authorities confirmed that both injured parties were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
The driver of the Infiniti, a 38-year-old man also from Imperial, did not report injuries. Investigators are continuing to review the circumstances of the crash to determine fault and contributing factors.
