Richardson Lake, ME (August 19, 2026) – A 21-year-old woman was seriously injured on Tuesday evening, August 17, after two jet skis collided in the narrows on Richardson Lake.

The woman was riding as a passenger on one of the jet skis when the two watercraft struck each other. She suffered a broken leg and other serious injuries.

The injured woman was taken to a friend’s boat before being brought to the South Arm Campground on Lower Richardson Lake. From there, she was airlifted by LifeFlight to Maine Medical Center in Portland for treatment.

Her name was not released. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under investigation, and additional details were not immediately available.
