Rear-End Motorcycle Crashes on High-Speed Roads
Rear-end collisions involving motorcycles can lead to serious injuries due to the limited protection riders have compared to occupants of passenger vehicles. Even a relatively minor impact can eject a rider from the bike.
High-speed roadways such as interstates can increase the risk of these crashes. Sudden braking, heavy traffic flow, or reduced following distance may leave riders with little time to react.
Maintaining a safe following distance and staying aware of traffic patterns ahead can help reduce the likelihood of rear-end motorcycle crashes.
