KATY, Harris County, Texas, Sept. 24, 2026 — A two-vehicle crash sent two people to the hospital Tuesday night, September 22, on Katy Fort Bend Road in Katy. One of them was flown to a hospital by Life Flight, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
The crash happened around 8:45 p.m. just south of Interstate 10 near Katy Mills Mall, Deputy Koehler told reporters at the scene. A white Dodge Challenger headed south reportedly struck the passenger side of a gray SUV that was crossing the road westbound, the deputy said.
The SUV's driver, an adult woman, was flown by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann. Her passenger, an adult man, was taken to the hospital by ground ambulance. Both were reported in stable condition. The Challenger's driver, an adult man, was not hurt, deputies said.
Deputy Koehler said there were no signs of intoxication at the scene, and no charges have been filed as of Thursday. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and the names of those involved have not been released.
